4// Our Venue!!

I'm really excited to say that we booked our wedding venue! It will be at Red Top Mountain in Group Shelter 1. Don't let the name fool you, it's actually REALLY nice and comes equipped with a kitchen, a/c, and restrooms inside. AND THEY PROVIDE TABLES AND CHAIRS!

Don't you love it?
Because it was already booked for the 15th, we booked it for the 14th. So we will be getting married on Friday instead of Saturday. BUT, it will be in the evening, so I think it works out perfect. It definitely has a lot of potential! I think all of my decorating ideas will look great with it.
I was doing a bit of googling, and I found pictures of a wedding that was held in the same exact place!

(the links don't want to work!!)
It photographs well. I really didn't want to get married somewhere that screamed, "I'm broke!" Lol. So I think this is perfect.

3//Reception

I LOVE THIS TABLE! ^

I really love these candles. This would probably be easy to do. I'm sure dollar tree has lots of candle holders. They could easily be spray painted.

A cute little candy bar

Cupcakes instead of a wedding cake!

Also, I haven't seen any photos with one, but I really like the idea of a "remembrance table." I don't know if you have seen one, but it's just a table, or whatever you would like, with pictures of family members that are no longer with us. It would mean a lot to me to have those people at my wedding in spirit. And we could make it look pretty, so it wouldn't be so depressing! Lol. I think Jason would appreciate to have his PePaw and his Grandfather on that table, too.

2//Colors

So, as you know I want colors that I can use with yellow, since we will most likely have sunflowers. Here are some pictures of color schemes that I really like. I would like to keep the colors pretty soft. Light pink, peach, yellow, and I think the turquoise color looks nice too.

1//invitations

Okay, so I luckily stumbled upon this website not too long ago. It has free templates that you can use and customize. It even has links to download the fonts. For some reason, the hyperlink isn't working, so here is the address:

It would probably be cheaper to make our own and have them printed at kinko's or something. They all come with their own RSVP card! I really like the "Bunting Banner" one. I would love to actually have these banners for decoration. I have seen so many pages on how to make them. Let me know which one you like.
Btw, Do you like my header? I tried to make my blog look official. lol.

EDIT:

So, since the wedding is going to be in 6 months, I was thinking about sending out save the dates. Jason has some out of town family members and Cody lives in Nebraska, so it might be a good idea so they can begin to make travel arrangements.
I used one of the templates from Love and Lavender. What do you think?
